ASEAN Clean Energy Corridor workshop and Capacity Building Programme

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) adopted a regional set of renewable energy targets for the year 2025. Accordingly, IRENA, in co-operation with the Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), set out to engage governments and stakeholders in the formulation of a regional action agenda to boost the penetration of modern renewable energy technologies.

This three-day workshop consisted of consultations on the development of a clean energy corridor as well as capacity-building sessions on technology, policy and financing. It was organized at the initiative of the government of Thailand.
