IRENA, together with the Chinese National Energy Administration and Jiangsu Provincial Government, co-hosted the International Forum on Energy Transitions 2016. The Forum aimed to chart clear and feasible pathways of decarbonising energy systems over the next few decades – a crucial determining factor to achieve the ultimate goals set out in the Paris Agreement and at the recent G20 Summit in Beijing.
The event provided a unique high-level platform for dialogue among the strategic thinkers, government officials, experts and representatives from the energy industry and business community across the globe to discuss how to transform unsustainable energy systems towards a sustainable, low-carbon and resilient energy future.
