Organised within the framework of IRENA’s Regional Initiative in South East Europe and co-hosted by the Serbian Ministry of Mining and Energy, the workshop aimed to build the capacities of: i) governments; ii) financial institutions; iii) project developers; and iv) academia in developing renewable energy projects with particular focus on solar PV, including with regards to improving conditions for financing such projects.
The workshop was composed of a session related to the financing of renewables and a training based on IRENA's Project Navigator — a free, comprehensive platform that provides project developers the tools to facilitate the creation of robust, bankable renewable energy project proposals.
