First Sudan Stakeholder Engagement Workshop

Khartoum, Sudan

The main objective of the workshops was to bring all the key stakeholders of the energy sector in Sudan together to discuss various topics related to energy data management in Sudan. This includes:

  • Reviewing the data required for NDC enhancement and energy related targets tracking and its availability.
  • Discuss establishing an MRV System for the energy sector that can systematically provide the necessary data in the future.

The first workshop focusd on providing an introduction into the activities proposed by IRENA and conducting an initial data audit. One of the main objectives of this workshop was to assess whether the data currently collected is useful to meet the identified needs.
