Today, another Latin-American country joined IRENA. The Foreign Minister of the Dominican Republic, Mr. Carlos Morales Troncoso, signed the Statute at the German Foreign Office in the presence of the Secretary of State, Mr. Heinrich Tiemann. The Dominican Republic has hereby become IRENA’s 80th Signatory. The growing number of States joining IRENA reflects that renewable energies are a key solution to secure the world’s energy future.
